How JoJo’s opened their newest locations with Bonside.
How it started
JoJo’s ShakeBAR, founded by hospitality veterans Robbie Schloss and Nick Thayer, is a next-generation restaurant and bar rooted in a modern, yet familiar, diner experience. Their signature, over-the-top shakes combined with a menu of elevated classics and a full bar program shaped an incredible five location business with strong 4-wall economics ripe for rapid expansion.
Our team met JoJo’s as they approached their sixth location in Orlando, Florida. We immediately recognized the potential of JoJo’s and partnered with them for financing ahead of their new location.
How it’s going
Within six months of partnering with Bonside, JoJo’s saw a 30% growth in top-line revenue, marking the success of their Orlando opening. With this, we initiated discussions for a second financing partnership – this time with an ability to move faster and on stronger terms. Two weeks later, we had financed JoJo’s for a second time ahead of their upcoming Scottsdale, AZ opening.
What’s next?
JoJo’s ShakeBAR has a bright future ahead, and at Bonside, we’re grateful to play a part in it. Later this year, they will be expanding their footprint with 3 additional flagship locations – stay tuned.
